Politics and pop culture, who knew that the two would ever become one, we all can remember when being a politician didn’t mean that you had to be a popular icon. Nevertheless, since the 2008 election Barrack and Sarah have become just that, pop icons. Although Barrack Obama wasn’t the first president to show that he is involved with the in crowd, Bill Clinton showed interest in the pop culture theme, realizing that there where many untouched voters he could reach out to. Barrack just followed in those foots steps he laid down. While the democratic side of politics had figured a way to go after millions of voters, the republicans found someone that could be in touch with the pop culture side of politics. When most presidents and politicians usually waited to write books until they had retired, these two have books coming out from everywhere, America by Heart, (Sarah Palin) 2010. Along with books, Sarah also came out with her own TV reality series, Palin`s Alaska. Politicians seem to be trying to become movie stars and less of a state diplomat. Who knows which side will have the first political figure to have a hit song.
